Well, I can’t quite believe it is the end of Sarah Bennett Golf 2013 which has proved to be another amazing year within the golfing industry. It has been collectively a tough year on the domestic front with many clubs in the UK suffering due to the economics and knock on effect of two seasons of poor weather. We all enjoyed a late run of fantastic Summer golf which did indeed help many of the UK Golf Clubs.
The Solheim Cup was a highlight for me and even non golfers found themselves watching the historic Sunday. It was lovely to hear the members talking about the event, even if it included the team outfits!! This was the first European team victory on American soil and one which should assist to leverage the Women’s Professional game over the coming years.
I had the privilege of playing with a number of the European Team members whilst competing on the Ladies European Tour and it was an immense victory. This image was taken of Suzann Pettersen on my Sarah Bennett Golf trip to watch the victorious team at the stunning Kileen Castle, what an ambassador for the game.
Keep an eye open for the 2015 Event which I shall be keeping you all up to date with. This will be posted on my various social media sites!
I personally have a number of “special events” that have stood out for me some of which I have included below, which would not have been possible without your support.
The support received for my Chavasse fund raising day was amazing, I wanted the day to be unique and very low key for a number of reasons. I was delighted that we were able to purchase the first ever piece of golfing equipment for the house which is being used on a regular basis and which I visit periodically.

My on going introductory lessons for girls & women has been well received, with many of my goals for my players reached.(Yes, I have targets too for you all!)
Many ladies attended their first ever Sarah Bennett Golf coaching holiday in October and all achieved their first ever golfing handicap. I have also set up a system for the ladies to maintain this which had been ordinarily tricky whilst still in full time employment.
My youth development schedule has grown building upon my work within the local primary schools, which saw 240 Y3 children using the Tri Golf equipment for a series of 6 lessons during the school curriculum. My Saturday group has grown in numbers with many progressing to membership with two boys in the Essex development squad with one player selected for the U14 Essex Squad.

I am delighted that I will be coaching the Essex Girls Elite and younger squads for 2014 which is in addition to my new role of U18 East Region England AASE Head Coach of which I was awarded August this year.
My progression within the PlaneTruth certified instructor stable was cemented with a visit to Phoenix to spend time with like minded coaching seeking to improve at every opportunity. All four instructors keen to work on their game in the sun!

The annual event Bennett’s Birdies Festive day has been running for four years now and each year it seems to get better and better, especially the best hat competition!
I could go but I would just like to Thank you all for your support over 2013 without your attendance this would not be possible. I really look forward to seeing you all 2014 with a number of new events.

Four Steps to achievement: Plan purposefully, prepare prayerfully, Proceed positively, Persue persistently: William Arthur Ward
